Six Generations of Devotion

Nestled along the golden slopes of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Terroir has cultivated the art of Burgundy winemaking since 1847. Our 28 hectares span the finest appellations—from village vineyards to revered Grand Cru parcels—each tended by hand, guided by the rhythms of the land and the wisdom of six generations.

“The wine is already in the grape. Our task is simply to listen to the earth and let it speak.”
Henri Duval, Founder · 1847

The Collection

Three expressions of excellence, each born from a singular parcel, aged in French oak, and released only when the wine demands it.

Clos Saint-Jacques
Vintage 2018

Dark cherry, crushed violet, and wet stone. Silken tannins give way to a finish of smoked earth and ancient spice. A wine of extraordinary depth.

La Romanée
Vintage 2016

Rose petal, wild raspberry, and iron minerality. The palate unfolds in slow, luminous waves—truffle, cedar, and a whisper of incense that lingers endlessly.

Corton-Charlemagne
Vintage 2019

Golden pear, hazelnut, and crushed limestone. A white Burgundy of immense concentration—honeyed yet precise, with a saline, crystalline persistence.

Patience in Darkness

Beneath the estate, our vaulted cellars hold over 1,200 barrels of French oak from the forests of Allier and Tronçais. Here, in constant cool and silence, each vintage undergoes its transformation—18 to 22 months of patient élevage, during which the wine absorbs the subtlest notes of toast, vanilla, and spice.

We use only 20% new oak for village wines and up to 60% for our Grand Crus—never more. The barrel must serve the fruit, not eclipse it. This is the philosophy that has guided our cellar masters for six generations.
